Yahoo and many other directories are now charging for commercial listings. Our basic web design and development package does not include inclusion to any sites that require additional fees, only sites that accept free listings. For this reason, we've decided to unbundled site announcements and web site promotion from our hosting rates so clients may make their own decisions regarding additional costs based upon their individual business needs.

Site Promotion Packages

In most cases, we would recommend a complete review of the markets a particular business wishes to pursue. The next step is to investigate whether there's an existing marketing service which will allow you advertise your web site through those services that that market - and which can show a reasonable history of such marketing.

In addition to this important first step, there is a period (about two weeks) in which surveys are taken and search engine position is evaluated. Usually, targeted paid insertions will work well in establishing your position on the internet. Maintenance of your site's position is another matter.

Get listed in Yahoo in only 1 - 3 working days. You may use the Priority Submissions banner on the top of this page for immediate inclusion into Yahoo.

If you are not already listed in Yahoo and LookSmart, we suggest Priority Submission for both sites (click on the banner on the top of the page). If not both, then we recommend at least Yahoo.

The free version of the tracker provides the information you need, but the statistics are also visible to anyone who clicks on the icon on your page. If you want to use the non-public version, they charge based on site traffic, starting at $5/month for up to 10,000 hits. The tracker augments our free Webtrends reports by providing real-time information on search engine keywords, and allows us to track and adjust the keywords in your web site in real-time, to maximize your marketing and promotion investment. The tracker statistics are not obviously visible to anyone viewing the site, but will be available to you via a password.
